I am Ray Apodaca with the Annie Peony Fine Art Gallery located at 9635 Elk Grove Florin Road. For three years on Veterans Day. We have been so proud and honored to display an 8×8′ mural titled “Salute to our Veterans” out in front of the gallery during the Veterans Day Parade we ask veterans to sign the mural. To date we have approximately 115 veterans have signed the mural.
We are interested in hosting a VFW fundraiser art exhibition event featuring veteran artists. The exhibition dates would begin late October thru November 18 one week after veterans day tentatively. An art reception for the exhibition could he held on veterans day right after the parade. The event could include an art raffle/auction, painting demos and Veteran talks on their art. Please allow me to present this idea to the Elk Grove VFW Post for consideration.
