The 3rd Friday of September is the official day of rememberence of our prisoners of war and missing in action soldiers. Generally, our local VFW, Marine Corps League and American Legion will hold an official ceremony on the closest Saturday to the third Friday of September.
That ceremony has been held for the past few years at the Flags at District 26, the Elk Grove Community Center, at 10:00 am.
